We would like to schedule a free meet-up with you and your dog before bookings take place. This is done so your pup gets a chance to familiarize themselves with us. It’s important for us to know a little history about your pup’s life, behavior, quirks, walking styles, dislikes and preferences and other related topics. We will be ready with a few questions for you! The meet-up will take place at our home if you are interested in Daycare , Overnight Boarding, Dusky Paws and at your home if the services you’re interested in are Home Visits, Homestays and/or Walks. We will connect with you to organize a Meet ‘N Greet once we receive a booking request!
You can bring any toys or accessories your pup will enjoy. Some toys will also be provided. We will play with your pup, cuddle them, engage in puzzle games (finding the treat) and go on a long walk. Walking routes are carefully chosen according to the dog’s needs. Most of our walks are of ~1 hour duration but this can change according to weather, temperature and dog’s needs. One or more walks are done depending on how long your pup is with us. If we need to run dog-friendly errands, your pup will come along. It is important, of course, that the pups rest too so some time is also dedicated to that.
Our Half-Daycare service runs between 08:00 and 18:00 but only for 5 hours – for when you might have a short appointment.
Our Dusky Paws service runs between 18:00 and 23:00 and is intended for when you need some dog-free time.
In both cases, you leave your pup with us and we take good care of them. Just like in a Full Daycare , we play with them and take them out for a walk. If you bring their food, they may also have lunch/dinner.
This service is intended to maximise the comfort of your pups. We will come to you for the agreed upon amount of time and we will make sure that your dogs have company, food, water, some play and a walk. We prioritise decreasing loneliness. We ask to be welcomed into your home allowing us to make use of the kitchen, bathroom and living room. We guarantee that we will leave your home as we found it.
Bring your pup to our home when you are going to be away. They are welcomed in a home environment and treated as though they were our own. We ask you to bring anything your pup might need – food, bedding and/or toys. Food and water bowls are provided but please contact us if in doubt of what to bring. We make sure to provide your pup with 3 walks a day (duration and route are decided according to your dog’s needs). The rest of the time, we will play and cuddle your pup and take them along our daily lives. It is extremely important for us to know (1) your pup’s behaviour and (2) how long they can be left alone (in situations such as grocery shopping etc).
Just like a Home Visit but we come to your home and stay overnight while you’re away. We will play and cuddle your pup, make sure they have clean water and that they are fed on time. Your pup will be taken on 3 walks a day. We make sure our daily lives revolve around your pup’s needs. It is extremely important for us to know (1) your pup’s behaviour and (2) how long they can be left alone (in situations such as grocery shopping etc). We ask that you welcome us into your home in a way that allows us to live comfortably and make use of the kitchen, bathroom, living room and a place to sleep. We will make sure to clean up after ourselves and leave your home as we found it.
This service is always based on your preference but will generally be ~1 hour unless specified otherwise. Small breeds and elderly dogs might prefer a shorter walk (~30 minutes) and this is also possible. The maximum duration for walks is of 2 hours. We favour walking your pup in green, open spaces such as parks or country-side where other dog-dog interactions can be avoided or limited. This is especially the case for somewhat reactive dogs. Very reactive dogs will not be accepted. Your pup will generally be walked on a leash unless you request otherwise. However, off leash dogs are the full responsibility of the Client.
