We currently are situated in a small apartment in Arnhem Binnenstad with no garden. Due to this, and that we prioritise individual care for your pups, we have a maximum capacity of 2 dogs per day/night. Dogs that are not from the same household will need to meet beforehand to familiarise themselves with each other.
Yes! However, please be aware that we live in a small apartment on the ground floor in Arnhem Binnenstad and this may cause some anxiety for some dogs and makes avoiding other dogs more difficult. We are trained in handling anxious and reactive dogs – we will do our best to avoid their triggers and distract them otherwise. Please note: an extra fee of €5/day or night applies for this extra service. We accept reactive dogs but will assess the situation in a Meet ‘N Greet as we will not accept dangerous dogs.
Don’t worry – this is possible of course. Simply book a day booking together with the overnight booking (eg. leaving your dog with us starting from 1300 on the first day and ending at 1800 on the last day, book a Half-Daycare and as many Boarding nights as you need).
Our cancellation policy involves no service fee when cancelled 2 days or more in advance, 50% of the service fee when cancelled the day before of the booking and 100% of the service costs when cancelled on the day for DAY bookings (daycare, evening care, home visits, walks). For OVERNIGHT bookings (homestays, boarding), there is no fee when cancelled 6 days or more before the booking, 50% of the fee applies when cancelled 5-2 days before and 100% of the fee applies when cancelled the day before or on the day of the booking. However, this may not apply when prices are customized/modified or a subscription is given. Additionally, a deposit may be requested if the booking is made many months in advance/in high season.
Yes! Puppies and senior dogs are welcome! We take great care to provide a fun yet calm atmosphere and to keep the environment as familiar to home as possible. Due to the extra work that may be involved, we ask an extra charge of €5/day or night for puppies under 18 months and senior dogs older than 9 years. An extra cleaning cost of €7 may apply in extraordinary cases (e.g. constant potty indoors).
Of course! The prices listed are based on the costs of running Hondenoppas Sammy but we understand that everyone comes from different financial possibilities and that these may change over time. We’re happy to discuss where the issues lie and come up with price modifications that suit you. We much rather keep providing you with a reliable sitter than watch you leave!
Yes! Any client who has booked just 2 bookings with us starts accumulating points on our Loyalty Card. Once each card is full (10 paw-points), the next booking is discounted by €15. This also works for overnight stays! Check out our Blog page for more information. For bookings that include 2 dogs arriving together, the 2nd dog is only charged at €8/day or night!
We have a basic knoweldge of First Aid and have the Arnhem animal hospital on speed dial. We always ask to provide vet information when leaving your dog with us, so that if something happens we can act fast and get the appropriate care to your pup! We will always prioritize acting quickly first but you will be notified immediately so that you can give insight to the situation and be kept updated. If you will be abroad and mostly unreachable, we ask you to provide us with an emergency contact based in the vicinity if possible.
You’re right, unfortunately at the moment we are not equipped with a garden. But don’t worry! We make sure your dogs get the exercise and enrichment they need. We live walking distance from many green areas. For more information please check out our What To Expect page.
Please bring anything that would help your dog feel more at home (eg. a particular toy or blanket) and their food when needed. Please discuss any doubts with us – we can help you figure out what to bring!
